Please give to the SERTC
Just increased my donation. This is the best program we have at Tech. Most of us are long time Hokies. Please prioritize some extra funds this year for the campaign.
It’s amazing what Coach Robie and Frayer have done at our university. They could have left. They could make more money. They are invested. We need to be also. Give what you can.

Some numbers
The Neckbeards are really angry lil elves right now.
By my count we scored 184 pts vs their 145 and gave up only 77 vs their 123 (counting points before a fall only). We won 23 matches to their 16 and only lost 6 vs their 13.
So yeah they got spanked by both us and Stanford. I look forward to our new rivalry vs the trees instead of the wolfies….

Whit won’t get another dime of my money. Our overall athletic department is stagnant at best and declining in reality across the board. Tony and Pete are the only coaches who I support. We’ll probably never win a national championship in either but they are great people and build great programs. All without much if any help from Whit and team. It’s ridiculous that our president and BOV don’t have the nuts to make the hard necessary business decisions. College sports is a big business and has been for quite some time…so give as much as you can to the SERTC if you want to support our coaches and our boys.

We didn’t win the ACC tourney!
Pack Pride is ok with that as they sit in 11th, 14.5 pts behind us (pre Trent match)….yes I’m rubbing it in. Yes I’m a jerk I guess.
I don’t like the way they wrestle.
I don’t like Pop’s style.
I don’t like wrestling in the outer edge of the mat in case your opponent gets a good shot.
I don’t care they are ACC.
I like it when we win and they lose.

Conference vs Nationals
Six years in a row and no doubt the Pack had a good Sunday especially at the lower weights. Can't wait to break their streak, but the ACC is a gimmicky conference, tournament-wise. Stanford will help, but won't solve the underlying scaling issue.
On the positive side, we've finished ahead of them 8 of the last 10 NCAAs. They beat us in 2018 and 2021, but otherwise have underperformed imo. Toss out Pop's first year (and that hideous facial rug burn) and we're obviously close programs.
I think I captured our finishes, points, and points in the NCAA relative to ACC tourney in the graphic. Either way, can't wait for seedings and the show to start....
